Schedule for Fall Non-Instructional Days: Sando reviewed last week’s discussion that departments offering Middle Cluster courses in Dragon Core (DC) Competency Areas 4-7 would be asked to send a representative to serve on a working group that would meet during Fall orientation to begin designing assessment rubrics. It was added that since Middle Cluster courses in DC 3 are only being offered by the Mathematics Department and the department is involved with Foundation Four assessment for DC 3 to not address Middle Cluster assessment of the area at this time. Based on the orientation schedule either Wednesday, August 22 or Friday, August 24, were available to block time for the groups to meet. Discussion ensued on parameters for the working groups. Sando will confirm with Academic Affairs the date and time. It was agreed Sando will contact department chairpersons this spring to request a volunteer from among department faculty who teach a course in DC 4-7. A packet of materials will be hand delivered to the volunteers on Monday, August 20, 2007, so it can be reviewed and discussed with the department prior to the working group meetings.

CMST Video Release: The revised draft was reviewed and discussed. Additional revisions were suggested. Sando agreed to make the changes and distributed to faculty for use in their courses.

Plans for IPSEL Work: This item will be moved to the next meeting.
