Student Activities Budget Committee
(SABC) (15) |

Description: Coordinates the
development of student activity budgets, reviews requests from
students and student organizations throughout the academic year
for funding related to student activities and makes
recommendations to the University President regarding
allocations. In addition, SABC allocates money for student
organizations, a small number of non-student organizations and
administrative support for student activity fee funded areas
each year during the budget allocation process. Annually
recommends level of funding and fee for SABC. Monitors
SABC reserves, expenditures and income of entities that receive
SABC funds. Membership: Student Activity

Description: Recommend to the
President and Student Senate an amount for the combined student
activity fee for the upcoming year. This committee will
review information about the history of fees on the MSUM campus,
compare MSUM's fee to other universities, analyze the impact of
future enrollments, and consider current, past and future
budgets of the areas receiving an allocation of student money in
developing a recommendation. Membership (Non-voting): Vice
President for Student Affairs (Chairperson), SABC Chair,
Director of CMU and Activities, Director of Health and Wellness
Center, Director of Athletics, University Business Manager,
Student Activities Account Officer Intermediate. Membership (Voting): 1 student
from SABC, 1 student from Comstock Union Committee (CUC), 1

Student Leader of the Month Award and Student Organization
