Excellence Awards

The Academic Affairs Council solicits Excellence Award nominations for campus community members who make outstanding contributions in one of the following areas: 

Effective Teaching

Research/Creative Activity

Service to Students

Service to the University

Service to the Community

Nominations for a person or a group of persons are solicited in the spring and should consist of a letter naming the candidate(s), indicating into which category the nomination falls, and explaining the contribution or achievement.  Some detail is helpful, but one or two pages is sufficient.

The Academic Affairs Council, comprised of the vice president for academic affairs, associate vice president for academic affairs, the deans, director of instructional resources, and director of information technology recognize a limited number of the Minnesota State University Moorhead community members each year who have made noteworthy contributions to the academic life of our institution.  The award ceremony is the highlight of the Opening Faculty Dinner in the fall.
