Roland and Beth Dille Fund for Excellence
2007-2008 Grant Recipients

The Roland and Beth Dille Fund for Excellence Committee announces the 2007-2008 grant recipients. More than $30,000 was requested in 15 applications. The committee awarded $14,821 to support the following:

·         Anna Arnar, Art and Design, “Searchable Digital Image Archive for MSUM Community”

·         Laurie Blunsome, Women's Studies, for "New Frontiers in Diversity: Embracing a Gender-Diverse Community.”

·         Ellen Brisch, Biosciences, for "'Shaken: Journey into the Mind of a Parkinson's Patient' Lecture, Classroom Visits and Showing."

·    Andrew Conteh, for "Local Aspects of the Homeland Security - September 11th Event."

·         Alan Davis, English for “Teaching Publishing: An in Depth Look at Student Involvement with New Rivers Press”

·         Craig Ellingson, Theatre Arts, for "45th Straw Hat Celebration - Alumni Reunion and Performance."

·         Linda Fuselier, Biosciences , for "A Teaching and Research Collection of Regional Aquatic Organisms."

·         Abby Gold, Nursing and Health, for "Women's Health Round Table."

·         Jane Gudmundson, Art and Design, for "Virtual Art Gallery."

·         Jody Mattern, Mass Communications, for "Student Evaluation Event."

·         Patrick Self, student, Biosciences, for "Model Effectiveness in Teaching Respiratory Mechanisms to First year Nursing Students."

·         Ananda Shastri, Physics, for "Honors Forum: How Physics of Light Gives Evidence That Early Renaissance Painters Used Mirrors to Create Photorealism."

The Dille Fund for Excellence is a permanent endowment established in 1994 by the MSUM Alumni Foundation through the generosity of MSUM Alumni and Friends to honor the university’s former president, Roland Dille and his wife, Beth.
