Minnesota State University Moorhead will award degrees to more than 400 students during MSUM’s fall commencement Thursday, Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. in MSUM’s Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse. About 300 students are expected to participate in the ceremony.Dr. Lynne A. Kovash, superintendent of Moorhead Area Public Schools, is the commencement speaker. Kovash received her bachelor’s degree in English from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She then completed her master’s degree in special education with a license in specific learning disabilities and emotional behavior disorders. Kovash completed classes in education administration through Tri-College University to obtain licenses as a K-12 principal special education director and superintendent. She completed her doctorate in educational leadership through the University of North Dakota. There will be no ticketing in campus parking lots the day of commencement.The ceremony will stream live on the Dragon Radio website for those unable to attend the ceremony.
