Economics alumni place great value on their MSUM education. In recognition of the importance of interactions between students and faculty beyond the classroom setting, alumni have furnished the Economics Lab to foster a collaborative environment within the department. The Economics Lab provides students a welcoming setting to build peer connections, study in a quiet, comfortable space, collaborate on homework, research and class projects, interact with faculty and hold organization meetings. Resources include computers, economics textbooks and related reading materials. The Economics Lab also houses a collection of Center for Economic Education resource materials.Faculty members occasionally hold department meetings, host local business leaders or meet with alumni, prospective students and families. However, current students studying Economics are the primary users of the Economics Lab! It is located in MacLean Hall 381 and is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
