Generous donations from CSIS alumni and former and current faculty and staff have funded a Computer Science and Information Systems endowment that awards two $500 scholarships annually to CSIS majors.
Microsoft Corporation, Fargo, ND campus, annually donates five $1,000 scholarships to be awarded to five computer science or computer information technology CSIS Department majors.
Two $1,000 Dian Lopez Computer Science Scholarships. This generous donation came from Dian Lopez, a 1996 MSUM graduate in mathematics who later became a faculty member at the University of Minnesota, Morris. This scholarship has the restriction that it must go to a female student majoring in computer science who has completed CSIS 252.
The scholarship application process opens in March each year and CSIS majors are e-mailed the scholarship application and procedure for applying.
