Besides being the Office roofing, elevator and building envelope expert, Pat also writes the specifications and performs estimates for all projects. During the construction document phase, he redlines the drawings, helps with roof design, as well as the specifications and estimating. Patrick is a fixture here at Foss Architecture & Interiors, and during his 29 years with the firm, in working with clients, contractors and suppliers, has developed cost-effective, high-performance solutions for roofs, windows and wall systems on both new and renovation projects. Most recently, he helped develop the detailing and specifications on the firm’s first Rain Screen project using high performance composite panels. He detailed and specified the first “Green Roof” in the area on a downtown Upscale hotel.

Mr. Lederle graduated with a Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis, from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan in 1978. He has worked as a consulting engineer for firms in Detroit, San Francisco and is currently serving as Vice President, Engineering for Opus AE Group, L.L.C. in Minneapolis. He has worked on a wide variety of projects such as bridges, sports facilities, and both high-rise and low rise building structures in the United States and overseas. Mr. Lederle has expertise in all structural systems including, wood, masonry, steel and both mild-reinforced and pre-stressed concrete. He has extensive experience in seismic design, design in high-wind areas and design for blast resistance. Michael is currently registered as a structural engineer or a professional engineer in over 35 states. He has taught as an Adjunct at the University of St. Thomas, and has presented at several conferences and taught continuing engineering classes. He serves on Task Committee 5 – Composite Structures, for the American Institute of Steel Construction, as well as the State of Minnesota, Structural Advisory Committee. He is currently an Adjunct at Minnesota State University Moorhead, teaching CM 223 – Construction Statics and CM 350 – Structural Design & Analysis.

Dipankar Sanyal is a registered architect in the State of Minnesota. He received his B. Arch degree from University of Delhi, India and continued on to Post Graduate Diploma in Urban design at the same university after graduation. He was interested in landscape architecture and ecology long before the sustainable design was in vogue. He enrolled for classes in ecology, and landscape architecture at The University of Pennsylvania famous for its pioneering curriculum in Landscape Architecture and Design under the guidance of Professors Ian L. McHarg and Louis I. Kahn and received his M. Arch from University of Minnesota. He has worked on several notable buildings in Minneapolis namely, Minneapolis Convention Center, Morrill Hall at the University of Minnesota, the current Viking Stadium (dome). He has taught as an adjunct professor at various local post secondary institutions including MnSCU since 2007. Works full time for Minneapolis Schools as an architect and teaching for MSUM.
